N: 1. A complete blood count (CBC) is a measure of the hematologic parameters of the blood. Included in the CBC is the calculation of the number of red blood cells (red blood cell count) or white blood cells (white blood cell count) in a cubic millimetre (mm3) of blood, a differential white blood cell count, a hemoglobin assay, a hematocrit, calculations of red cell volume, and a platelet count.
2. A complete blood count (CBC) test measures the following: the number of red blood cells (RBC count); the number of white blood cells (WBC count); the total amount of hemoglobin in the blood; the fraction of the blood composed of red blood cells (hematocrit).
